Our Philosophy

Rooted in patience.
Growing toward wholeness.

True healing does not happen overnight. Like a tree, it begins below the surface. Roots must find their depth before branches can reach the light. At SABR, we honour that natural order. We do not rush. We create the conditions for steady, lasting growth at exactly the pace you need.

🌱

Ground First

Before deeper healing begins, we create a sense of safety, steadiness and trust. The work starts by understanding where you are emotionally, physically and relationally, so your system does not feel rushed or overwhelmed.

🌿

Hold With Patience

Healing unfolds at its own pace. At SABR, there is no pressure to move faster than you are ready for. We honour your timing, your nervous system and the quiet process through which change begins to take root.

Grow Toward Wholeness

Growth is not about becoming someone else. It is about returning to yourself with more clarity, compassion and inner strength.

صبر
Sabr
Arabic · Urdu · Persian

Not passive waiting.
But courageous, rooted endurance.

Sabr is an Arabic word meaning patience. But not passive waiting. Sabr is the quiet strength that helps you stay steady through uncertainty. It is the inner endurance that allows healing to unfold slowly, honestly and deeply. This word became the heart of the practice because healing asks for patience. It asks us to pause, listen and trust what is quietly taking root within us.

01
Ground First
Before growth can happen, roots must deepen. Grounding is not a technique. It is a state of being. When we feel steady within ourselves, connected to the present moment and safe in our own body, we are grounded. This is where all meaningful healing begins. At SABR, we spend real time here. Not as a stage to rush through, but as a foundation to return to.
02
Hold With Patience
Healing does not move in straight lines. It circles. It pauses. It deepens in ways that are invisible before they become visible. Sabr asks us to hold with patience. Not the patience of waiting passively, but the active, quiet patience of a seed in winter. Trusting that something is happening beneath the surface, even when there is nothing yet to show.
03
Grow Toward Wholeness
Wholeness is not a destination you arrive at. It is something that unfolds slowly, integrating your experiences, your pain, your relationships and your growth into a more complete version of yourself. At SABR, we believe every life experience, even the ones that broke you, carries the seeds of deeper understanding. Growth is not about leaving your story behind. It is about carrying it with more grace.

The Founder

Hello, I'm
Shivika Chopra.

I created SABR as a space where healing could feel both deeply human and thoughtfully held.

My professional journey has taken me across two countries and many different settings. I have worked in psychiatric facilities in India, supported refugees navigating trauma and displacement in the UK, and held space for people across the full spectrum of human experience. From everyday stress and emotional exhaustion to acute psychiatric care, de-addiction, interpersonal conflict, family breakdown, and deep systemic work with individuals and families.

Through all of this, one belief has remained constant. People do not need to be fixed. They need to be understood, supported and met with patience. My training spans psychology, trauma informed psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing®, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Family Constellation work. I hold an MSc in Psychology from the University of Glasgow and a second postgraduate qualification, also from Glasgow. I bring this breadth not to impress, but because healing is layered. It involves the mind, the body, relationships, family systems and the deeper parts of ourselves that words alone cannot reach.

SABR brings these paths together into one integrated space. Here, science meets soul. Structure meets softness. And every person is met exactly where they are.

"The wound is the place where the Light enters you."

Rumi

At SABR, we hold this truth at the heart of every session. What has hurt you is also what can open you. Healing does not erase your story. It transforms your relationship to it.

From Shivika

A note from me.

"

If you are reading this, something in you is already reaching toward change. That takes courage. More courage than most people give themselves credit for.

I want you to know that at SABR, you will never be rushed, judged or reduced to a diagnosis. You are a whole person with a whole story. And that story deserves to be held with care.

I built this practice slowly, across years of working in hospitals, community settings, crisis centres and quiet consulting rooms. I have sat with people in their darkest moments and witnessed what becomes possible when someone feels truly seen. That possibility is what SABR exists for.

Whether you are just beginning to explore what healing might mean for you, or you have been on this journey for years, there is a place for you here. Come as you are.

Before You Begin

Questions you might
be quietly carrying.

It is completely normal to have hesitations before reaching out. Here are the questions most people have but don't always ask.

Do I need to have a specific diagnosis or serious problem to come?+
Not at all. Many people come to SABR simply because something feels off — a quiet sense of being stuck, exhausted, or not quite themselves. You don't need a crisis or a clinical label. If you feel the pull toward support, that feeling itself is reason enough.
I've never been to therapy before. What should I expect?+
Your first session is simply a conversation — warm, unhurried, without any agenda except understanding you a little better. There is no pressure to share more than you want to. Shivika will guide the pace, and you are always in control of what you explore.
Is everything I share completely confidential?+
Yes. Confidentiality is the absolute foundation of therapeutic work. Everything shared in sessions is held with complete professional and ethical discretion. There are narrow, legally defined exceptions — such as imminent risk of harm — which Shivika will explain clearly in your first meeting.
How many sessions will I need?+
There is no fixed number. Some people find significant relief in 6–8 sessions; others choose to work over a longer period for deeper transformation. This is always a collaborative conversation — Shivika will never extend the work beyond what genuinely serves you.
Does online therapy work as well as in person?+
For most people and most concerns, yes — online therapy is equally effective and is increasingly the preferred format. The therapeutic relationship, which is the heart of healing, translates fully to video. Some somatic and body based work benefits from in person settings, which Shivika will discuss with you.
What if I'm not sure which service is right for me?+
That is exactly what the free 20-minute initial consultation is for. Most people come without knowing — they just know something needs to shift. Shivika will help you understand what might serve you best. There is no pressure and no commitment involved.
I'm a working professional with a very unpredictable schedule. Can I still make this work?+
Absolutely. Many clients are founders, executives, and professionals with demanding schedules. Sessions are available in the evenings and on weekends, and online sessions eliminate commute time entirely. Flexibility is built into how SABR works.
I'm worried about what my family or colleagues might think.+
This concern is more common than you might imagine — and it is completely understandable. Your sessions are entirely private. Online sessions can be attended from anywhere with complete discretion. Seeking support is one of the most courageous things a person can do for themselves and for those they love.
In the Room

What happens
in a session?

A session begins with a conversation. We take time to understand what feels present for you, what you are carrying and what kind of support may be helpful.

The work may involve reflection, emotional processing, body awareness, relational exploration or deeper therapeutic work, depending on your needs.

There is no pressure to share everything at once. The pace is always collaborative.

Your body
already knows
how to heal.

Where the nervous system leads the way back to safety

"Trauma is not what happens to you. It's what happens inside you as a result of what happened to you." — Gabor Maté

Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a body centred approach to trauma and stress, developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It understands that trauma is not primarily a psychological event — it is a physiological one. When we experience overwhelming events, our nervous system can get "stuck" in survival responses: fight, flight, freeze, or collapse.

SE works gently with these stuck patterns — not by retelling or reliving the trauma, but by slowly completing the biological responses that were interrupted. Through careful tracking of body sensations, movement, and breath, the nervous system gradually discharges stored survival energy and returns to a natural state of regulation and ease.

This is slow, careful, compassionate work. You are never pushed beyond what feels manageable. The goal is not catharsis — it is resourcing, regulation, and the gradual expansion of your window of tolerance.

Who it is for

  • Those who have experienced trauma (single event or complex)
  • People with chronic anxiety or hypervigilance
  • Those who feel frozen, disconnected, or numb
  • People with unexplained physical symptoms linked to stress
  • Survivors of accidents, medical trauma, or assault
  • Those where talk therapy alone hasn't felt "enough"

Session format & fees

  • Individual sessions: 50–75 minutes
  • Fee: ₹3,500 per session
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online video
  • Typically 8–20+ sessions depending on history
  • Free 20-min initial consultation to start

What actually happens in a session?

A Somatic Experiencing® session is gentle, collaborative, and body-led — never forced.

1

Grounding & Settling

We begin by establishing a felt sense of safety in the present moment. This might involve noticing your contact with the chair, the temperature of the room, or a resource — a place, person, or sensation that feels supportive.

2

Tracking Sensation

Rather than focusing on the story of what happened, we gently direct attention to what is happening in the body right now. A tightness in the chest. A sense of weight. A subtle tremor. These sensations are the language of the nervous system.

3

Titration — Working in Small Doses

We approach difficult material in very small, manageable doses — never flooding, never overwhelming. We might touch the edge of a difficult sensation briefly, then return to safety. This pendulation between activation and regulation is how the nervous system heals.

4

Completion & Discharge

Over time, the incomplete survival responses held in the body begin to complete. This might look like a spontaneous tremor, a deep breath, a wave of warmth, tears of relief, or a profound sense of settling. These are signs of healing.

5

Integration

We close each session by consolidating what has shifted. What do you notice now? What feels different? Integration continues between sessions too — many people find shifts in sleep, reactivity, and body awareness in the days following.

What transformation looks like

Not all at once — but steadily, unmistakably.

🌊

Nervous System Regulation

Less reactivity. More space between trigger and response. A growing capacity to feel safe in your own body.

🌱

Release of Chronic Symptoms

Physical symptoms linked to stored trauma — tension, pain, fatigue, hyperarousal — often reduce significantly.

🕊️

Return of Aliveness

People who have felt numb, flat, or disconnected for years often describe a gradual return of joy, curiosity, and presence.

Common questions

Do I have to talk about what happened to me?
No — and in fact, SE is specifically designed to avoid retraumatisation through retelling. We focus on what the body is experiencing now, not the narrative of the past. You share only what feels right, at your own pace.
Is this the same as talking therapy?
It is different. Traditional talk therapy primarily engages the thinking mind. SE works with the body — specifically the autonomic nervous system — and often reaches layers of healing that conversation alone cannot access.
Is it safe to do online?
Yes. Somatic Experiencing® can be conducted safely and effectively via video. The relational connection — which is at the heart of SE — translates well online. Many clients in Delhi, Gurugram, and internationally work with Shivika entirely online.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies greatly. For single-event trauma, significant shifts can happen within 8–12 sessions. For complex or developmental trauma, it may be a longer journey. Shivika will give you an honest sense of this in your initial conversation.

Understanding
yourself is the
beginning of everything.

A thoughtful space to explore your inner world, patterns, and path forward

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." — Carl Jung

Psychotherapy at Sabr is not a clinical transaction. It is a genuine, trust-based relationship — perhaps the only space in your life where you are truly heard without agenda, judgment, or advice. It is a place to slow down and get curious about yourself.

Shivika's approach is integrative, drawing on multiple evidence based frameworks — including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive approaches, attachment theory, and humanistic principles — and weaving them together to meet your unique needs. No single model is imposed; the therapy shapes itself around you.

The focus is not just on symptoms, but on the whole person: your history, your relationships, your beliefs about yourself, and the deeper patterns that shape how you move through life.

Who it is for

  • Those experiencing depression or persistent sadness
  • Anxiety, overthinking, or feeling overwhelmed
  • Life transitions — career, relationships, loss, identity
  • Low self esteem or self worth struggles
  • Relationship difficulties and attachment patterns
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Anyone seeking deeper self-understanding

Session format & fees

  • Individual sessions: 50 minutes
  • Fee: ₹3,500 per session
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online/phone
  • Weekly sessions recommended initially
  • Open-ended or time limited — your choice

What happens in psychotherapy sessions?

Every session is different — shaped by where you are that day. But here is what the journey typically holds.

1

The Initial Sessions — Being Heard

The first few sessions are about creating safety and understanding your full picture. Shivika will listen — deeply — to your story, your history, your current struggles, and what you hope for. There are no intake questionnaires to rush through.

2

Exploring Patterns & Themes

As trust builds, we begin to explore the patterns beneath the surface: recurring dynamics in relationships, the inner critic's voice, the beliefs you hold about your worth. We look not just at what is happening, but at why — with compassion, not analysis.

3

Working with the Past

The present is always shaped by the past. We gently explore your history — early relationships, formative experiences, the moments that quietly defined how you see yourself and the world. This is not about blame; it is about understanding.

4

Building New Capacities

Gradually, the work shifts from understanding to transformation. New ways of relating to yourself and others emerge. Old stories lose their grip. You begin to respond to life from a different, more spacious place.

5

Evolving & Completing the Work

Therapy, when it works, eventually works itself out of a job. We regularly review your goals and progress. When the time comes to close, we do so with intention — honouring how far you have come.

What transformation looks like

Not a different life — a different relationship with the life you have.

🧭

Greater Self-Understanding

You begin to see your patterns clearly — not to judge them, but to choose differently. The unconscious becomes conscious.

💬

Healthier Relationships

As your relationship with yourself shifts, your relationships with others shift too. More honesty. More boundaries. More genuine connection.

🌅

A Renewed Sense of Self

Many clients describe a gradual return of identity, purpose, and inner ease — not perfection, but a grounded sense of being okay in themselves.

Common questions

How is this different from talking to a friend?
A friend listens with love — but also with their own needs, histories, and reactions. A therapist offers something rare: presence without personal agenda, reflection without judgment, and a trained understanding of the patterns beneath the surface.
How long does therapy take?
This varies widely. Some people find significant relief in 12 sessions; others work over years on deeper layers. Shivika believes in honest conversations about this — you'll never be kept in therapy longer than is genuinely helpful.
Can I do psychotherapy online?
Yes — and many clients prefer it. The therapeutic relationship and the quality of the work translate well to video and phone sessions. Many of Sabr's clients access therapy from across India and internationally.

Some wounds
were never yours
to carry alone.

Healing the invisible loyalties and patterns we inherit from those before us

"In every family system, love flows — but sometimes it gets tangled." — Bert Hellinger

Family Constellation is a therapeutic approach developed by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger. It works from a powerful premise: we are not isolated individuals, but members of larger family and ancestral systems. And those systems carry both gifts and unresolved burdens — tragedies, exclusions, secrets, grief, and trauma — that can be unconsciously passed down through generations.

You might find yourself repeating patterns you don't understand. Struggling with feelings that don't quite match your own life. Carrying an unexplained heaviness, loneliness, or sense of failure. Family Constellation helps illuminate the hidden dynamics at work — and offers a path to release what was never truly yours to carry.

Sessions are conducted individually (without other family members present) and can be profoundly liberating — often creating shifts that other forms of therapy had not reached.

Who it is for

  • Those repeating patterns across relationships or career
  • People with unexplained depression, anxiety, or heaviness
  • Those who feel they don't belong in their family
  • Grief, loss, and premature or traumatic deaths in the family
  • Estrangements, secrets, adoptions, separations
  • People whose parents or grandparents faced trauma, war, migration

Session format & fees

  • Individual sessions: 75–90 minutes
  • Fee: ₹4,500 per session
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online
  • Number of sessions depends on the theme and depth of the work
  • Integration support available after
Book a Session →

What happens in a Family Constellation session?

The work is simple on the surface — and profound underneath.

1

Mapping Your Family System

We begin with a gentle conversation about your family — who is in the system, what you know of the significant events, relationships, and perhaps the things that were never spoken of. You don't need to know everything. The system holds more than the conscious mind can access.

2

Setting Up the Constellation

Using figures, floor markers, or simply imagination, we create a spatial representation of your family system. What emerges often surprises even the most skeptical participants.

3

Following What Wants to Move

Shivika gently facilitates movements, sentences, and gestures that align with what the system needs. Exclusions are acknowledged. Burdens are returned to their rightful place. Hidden loyalties are brought to light — and often, released.

4

Finding a Healing Image

The session moves toward a resolution image — a new arrangement that honours the truth of the system while allowing greater freedom and love to flow. This image is held in the body, not just the mind — and its effects often continue to unfold for days or weeks afterward.

5

Integration & Reflection

We close with a grounding conversation about what emerged and what you might take with you. Some clients need time and silence before words come. That is always respected.

What transformation looks like

Often sudden. Always felt in the body. Lasting.

🌳

Release of Inherited Burdens

The weight of carrying what was never yours to carry begins to lift. You return the burden — with love — to where it belongs.

🕊️

Freedom from Repeating Patterns

Patterns that seemed unbreakable — in relationships, career, health — often shift after Family Constellation work.

💞

A Deeper Sense of Belonging

Many clients describe feeling, for the first time, that they truly belong — in their family, in their body, in their own life.

Common questions

Do I need to bring family members?
No. Individual constellation work is conducted with you alone. The family field is accessed through the constellation itself — not through the physical presence of family members.
Is this a spiritual practice?
Family Constellation occupies a fascinating space between the therapeutic and the transpersonal. It is not religious, but it does work with dimensions of human experience that go beyond rational analysis. People of all faiths and none have found it deeply meaningful.
Can it be done online?
Yes — with care and creativity, Family Constellation can be conducted effectively online. Shivika uses adapted methods for virtual sessions that honour the integrity of the work.
← Back to all services Clinical Hypnotherapy

The subconscious
mind is where
change begins.

Accessing the deeper mind to gently rewrite what no longer serves you

"Hypnosis is not sleep. It is a state of focused attention — the most receptive state the mind can enter." — Dr. Milton Erickson

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic modality that uses a state of focused relaxation — called a calm, focused state — to access the subconscious mind. It is nothing like stage hypnosis. You are fully aware, fully safe, and fully in control throughout. You cannot be made to do anything against your will or values.

The subconscious mind holds our deeply held beliefs, automatic responses, habits, and emotional memories — often formed long before we had words for them. Many of our most limiting patterns live here, beyond the reach of conscious reasoning. Hypnotherapy creates a gentle, receptive state in which these patterns can be explored and, with your full participation, transformed.

Shivika is a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, trained in evidence based approaches. Sessions are warm, guided, and always collaborative.

Who it is for

  • Phobias and irrational fears
  • Habits: smoking, nail-biting, emotional eating
  • Performance anxiety or exam stress
  • Sleep difficulties and insomnia
  • Low confidence and self worth
  • Unexplained emotional blocks
  • IBS and psychosomatic conditions
  • Grief and loss

Session format & fees

  • Sessions: 60–90 minutes
  • Fee: ₹4,000 per session
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online
  • Typically 4–8 sessions for most concerns
  • Audio recordings provided for home practice
Book a Session →

What happens in a hypnotherapy session?

Calm, collaborative, and always with your full awareness.

1

Conversation & Goal-Setting

We begin with an open conversation about what brings you here — what you'd like to change, release, or access. We clarify your goals and any questions about the process. There is no rush to begin the hypnotic work until you feel comfortable and informed.

2

Induction — Entering a Relaxed State

Using guided language, breath, and imagery, Shivika gently guides you into a deeply relaxed but fully aware state. This feels similar to the moments just before sleep — many clients describe it as one of the most relaxing experiences of their lives.

3

Therapeutic Work in Focused Relaxation

In this receptive state, we explore the subconscious landscape. This might involve guided imagery, inner dialogue, regression to earlier experiences (always safely), reframing unhelpful beliefs, or installing new, supportive responses.

Emerging & Integration

Gently, at your own pace, you return to full waking awareness — refreshed, clear, and often with a sense of something having shifted. We debrief together about what arose. Many clients receive personalised audio recordings to reinforce the work between sessions.

What transformation looks like

Often faster than traditional therapy for specific concerns.

🌙

Release of Limiting Beliefs

Deeply held beliefs like "I'm not good enough" can be gently rewritten at the level where they live — in the subconscious.

Freedom from Habits & Fears

Phobias, compulsive habits, and automatic emotional responses often resolve significantly within a focused course of sessions.

☀️

Calm, Confidence & Clarity

Clients frequently report improved sleep, greater confidence, reduced anxiety, and a sense of finally being able to access what they always knew was possible.

Common questions

Can I be made to do things against my will?
Absolutely not. Clinical hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnosis. You are always fully aware and fully in control. You cannot be made to reveal information you don't wish to share, act against your values, or stay in the calm, focused state against your will.
What if I can't be hypnotised?
Everyone enters calm, focused states naturally — when daydreaming, deeply absorbed in a book, or just before sleep. Hypnotherapy simply guides this natural capacity more intentionally.
Is it suitable for online sessions?
Yes. Hypnotherapy works very effectively online, and many clients find the comfort of their own environment enhances the relaxation. You will need a quiet, private space and the ability to recline during the session.

Even the strongest
love needs a safe space
to be honest in.

Rebuilding the bridge between two people — with honesty, care, and new understanding

"The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives." — Esther Perel

Every relationship has its seasons — times of closeness and times of distance. Couple therapy at Sabr is not about deciding who is right. It is about helping two people understand each other more deeply than they have been able to alone — and finding new ways to connect, communicate, and grow together.

Shivika holds both partners with equal care and respect. The relationship itself, its patterns, its history, its strengths and wounds, becomes the focus of the work. When helpful, couple work may also include individual sessions with each partner, so both people have space to explore their own emotions, histories and needs. This can support the joint work and create more clarity within the relationship.

Some couples come in crisis. Some come to prevent crisis. Some come simply because they know there is more depth available to them and they want to find it together. All of these are valid and welcome reasons.

Who it is for

  • Recurring conflict or communication breakdown
  • Distance, disconnection, or feeling like strangers
  • Infidelity and rebuilding trust
  • Intimacy and sexual disconnection
  • Major life transitions: children, relocation, career
  • Pre-marital couples building a strong foundation
  • Deciding whether to stay or separate

Session format & fees

  • Joint sessions: 75–90 minutes
  • Fee: ₹5,000 per session
  • Individual sessions may supplement joint work
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online
  • Typically 8–20 sessions depending on the work

What happens in couple therapy?

A space where both of you can finally be heard — and begin to hear each other differently.

1

The First Sessions — Understanding Both Worlds

Shivika creates space for both of you to feel genuinely heard — individually and together. We map the cycle: how conflict escalates, what needs are underneath, what each person is trying to communicate, even when it comes out wrong.

2

Understanding the Attachment Cycle

Most relationship conflict, when you look beneath the surface, is about attachment needs: the need to feel safe, valued, understood, and wanted. We explore what each partner needs emotionally — and what happens when those needs go unmet.

3

Changing the Conversation

Gradually, we begin to transform the way you speak and listen to each other — not through scripts, but through a genuine shift in understanding. When we know what someone is really asking for, we respond very differently.

4

Rebuilding Safety & Intimacy

As communication shifts, emotional safety returns — and with it, the possibility of deeper intimacy. This is not manufactured closeness; it is the natural result of two people finally feeling seen and secure with each other.

5

Building for the Future

The final phase focuses on consolidating the gains — developing practices, understanding your shared values, and building the resilience to navigate future challenges together.

What transformation looks like

Not perfection — but genuine, earned closeness.

🌉

Rebuilt Trust

Where trust has broken, it can be rebuilt — slowly, honestly, with care. Couple therapy creates the conditions for this work to happen safely.

💬

A New Language

Couples often leave with a shared vocabulary for their emotional world — a way of talking about needs and feelings that felt impossible before.

💞

Deeper Intimacy

Emotional safety and genuine understanding naturally deepen intimacy — physical, emotional, and relational — in ways that feel organic and lasting.

Common questions

What if my partner is reluctant to come?
This is very common. Sometimes it helps to start with individual sessions to explore your own patterns and needs — this often creates positive shifts in the relationship dynamic and can open the door for couple work later.
Are you going to take sides?
Shivika holds both partners with equal care and genuine curiosity. The goal is not to find fault, but to understand the dynamic between both people and help it shift.
Can we do couple therapy online?
Yes — couple therapy translates well to online sessions. Many couples across India and internationally work with Shivika via video call. You can join from the same location or from separate devices if that feels more comfortable.
← Back to all services Family Counselling

Families feel.
Families hurt.
Families can heal.

Strengthening the roots of your most important relationships

A family is an ecosystem. When one part is struggling, every part feels it.

Family counselling at Sabr holds the family as the unit of care — not just the individual who is seen as the "problem." Every family member brings their own history, their own needs, and their own experience of the family dynamic. Family therapy creates a space where all of these can be heard — and where new patterns of relating can emerge.

Shivika works with families across a wide range of situations: parent-child conflicts, adolescent mental health, grief and bereavement, the impact of a family member's illness or addiction, blended family challenges, and the quiet distance that can grow between people who love each other but no longer know how to reach one another.

Who it is for

  • Parent-child or sibling conflict
  • Adolescent mental health struggles
  • Impact of divorce, separation, or remarriage
  • Blended or step family dynamics
  • Family grief and loss
  • A family member's addiction or mental illness
  • Communication breakdown across generations
  • Cultural or value-based family tensions

Session format & fees

  • Joint family sessions: 75–90 minutes
  • Fee: ₹6,000 per session
  • Individual sessions as needed
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online
  • Flexible scheduling for working families
Book a Session →

What happens in family counselling?

A space where every voice matters — and every person is seen.

1

Initial Assessment

We begin by understanding each family member's experience — ideally with everyone present, but sometimes through initial individual conversations if that feels safer. The goal is to build a picture of the family system from every angle.

2

Creating Safety for All

Family sessions can feel exposing or tense, especially early on. Shivika's first priority is establishing a space where everyone feels safe enough to speak honestly — and where speaking honestly doesn't lead to escalation.

3

Understanding Each Person's World

Every member of a family is experiencing something different. Family therapy helps each person step briefly into another's perspective — and this shift alone can be transformative.

4

Working on Patterns Together

We begin to identify and work on the patterns that are causing harm — the cycles of conflict, the silences, the roles people play. These patterns are not one person's fault; they are the family's patterns.

5

Building New Ways of Being Together

The work moves toward new possibilities — new rituals of connection, new ways of navigating disagreement, new ways of expressing love that actually land for each family member.

What transformation looks like

Less distance. More honesty. A family that feels more like home.

🏠

Restored Communication

Conversations that used to end in silence or conflict begin to feel possible — and occasionally even connecting.

💞

Healthier Patterns

The unhelpful roles, cycles, and dynamics that have organised family life begin to loosen, creating more freedom for everyone.

🌱

Deeper Understanding

Family members often report understanding each other — and themselves — in ways they never had before. This understanding itself is healing.

Common questions

Does the whole family need to attend?
Ideally, the people most centrally involved in the issue attend together — but this is always negotiated case by case. Family systems shift even when not all members are in the room.
What about teenagers who refuse to attend?
Adolescent resistance to therapy is extremely common. Shivika can work with parents first, and often the dynamic shifts enough that the young person becomes willing to engage. Individual sessions for the adolescent, separate from parents, are also available.
Can family sessions happen online?
Yes — family counselling works well online, especially for families whose members are in different cities. Sessions can include people joining from different locations.
← Back to all services Trauma Informed Therapy

Safety first.
Always. In everything
we do.

A dignified, paced approach to healing — for those who have been through the unthinkable

"Trauma is not your fault. Healing is not optional. You deserve support."

Trauma Informed Therapy is not a single technique — it is a foundational orientation that shapes everything Shivika does. It means that at every stage of the therapeutic work, your safety, dignity, autonomy, and pace take absolute priority over any technique, timeline, or therapeutic goal.

Being trauma informed means understanding that many of the behaviours and symptoms that can seem confusing or frustrating — avoidance, dissociation, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, explosive reactions — are not signs of weakness or dysfunction. They are signs of a nervous system that adapted brilliantly to something overwhelming. And they can change.

This approach is particularly important for survivors of abuse, assault, or neglect; for those with complex or developmental trauma; for those who have been re-traumatised by previous therapeutic experiences; and for anyone who needs the knowledge that their "no" will always be heard.

Who it is for

  • Survivors of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse
  • Complex and developmental trauma (CPTSD)
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Medical trauma or traumatic medical procedures
  • Those who have felt re-traumatised by previous therapy
  • Dissociation, depersonalisation, or derealisation
  • Survivors of accidents, disaster, or violence

Core principles

  • Your pace is always respected
  • Nothing is ever forced or rushed
  • Your "no" is always honoured
  • Titrated, not flooding or cathartic
  • Body and nervous system awareness throughout

Session fees

  • Individual sessions: 50 min · ₹3,500
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or online
  • Free 20-min initial consultation always first

The three phases of trauma work

Good trauma therapy is not a linear journey — but this framework guides the work.

1

Phase One: Safety & Stabilisation

Before anything else, we build safety — inside the therapeutic relationship, inside your body, and inside your daily life. This phase is never rushed. We build internal resources: grounding practices, window of tolerance awareness, self-regulation skills.

2

Phase Two: Processing & Mourning

When you are ready — and only when you are ready — we begin to gently approach the traumatic material. Using trauma informed approaches (which may include Somatic Experiencing® or parts work), we help the nervous system process and integrate what it has been holding.

3

Phase Three: Integration & Reconnection

Healing from trauma is ultimately about reconnection — to yourself, to your body, to your life, to others, and to the future. In this phase, we focus on rebuilding meaning, identity, and the capacity for joy.

What transformation looks like

From surviving to actually living — this is possible.

🕊️

A Regulated Nervous System

Flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, and dissociation reduce. The world begins to feel safer — because you are safer inside yourself.

🌱

Restored Sense of Self

Trauma often fractures identity. Healing restores it — not to who you were before, but to a more whole, integrated, and grounded version of yourself.

☀️

The Return of Possibility

Perhaps the most moving transformation: the gradual return of hope, curiosity, and the capacity to imagine a future worth living for.

Common questions

Will I have to talk about what happened to me?
Not necessarily — and never before you feel ready. Trauma-informed therapy is specifically designed to avoid retraumatisation. Many modalities we use (particularly Somatic Experiencing®) work effectively without requiring detailed verbal disclosure of traumatic events.
I had a bad experience with therapy before. Should I try again?
A previous difficult therapeutic experience does not mean therapy cannot help you — it often means the previous approach was not sufficiently trauma informed. We take previous negative experiences seriously and always begin by understanding what happened and what felt unsafe.
← Back to all services Animal Communication

Animals speak.
Not in words —
in truth.

Understanding and deepening your bond with the animals who share your life

"Animals are not lesser beings. They are teachers, mirrors, and companions on the soul's journey."

Animal Communication is an intuitive practice that works with the understanding that all living beings communicate — not only through sounds and behaviours, but through a deeper energetic and emotional language that we can learn to access and translate.

Shivika trained in interspecies communication and works with companion animals — dogs, cats, horses, birds, and others — to understand what they are experiencing emotionally, physically, and energetically. This can be profoundly helpful when a beloved animal is unwell, behaving unexpectedly, experiencing a transition, or nearing the end of their life.

Animal communication is not diagnosis — it is connection. It opens a channel of understanding between you and your animal companion that can transform your relationship and bring peace to both of you.

When it can help

  • Unexplained behavioural changes
  • Chronic illness or unexplained pain
  • Fear, anxiety, or aggression
  • Introducing a new pet or family member
  • Transition and major life changes
  • End of life — preparation and goodbye
  • Grief after losing an animal companion
  • Deepening your bond

Session format & fees

  • Sessions: 45–60 minutes
  • Fee: ₹3,000 per session
  • In-person or remote (photograph used)
  • You receive a full report of the communication
  • Follow-up sessions available
Book a Session →

What happens in a session?

A gentle, respectful process of connection and translation.

1

Your Questions & Concerns

We begin with you — what is worrying you about your animal? What would you most like to understand or communicate? Your observations as their person are deeply valuable and always part of the work.

2

Making Contact

Using the animal's name, a clear photograph, or physical proximity, Shivika quiets the thinking mind and opens to the animal's energetic and emotional field. This is a learned skill of tuning into a different frequency of communication.

3

Receiving & Translating

Information comes in different forms — images, feelings, physical sensations, words, or a knowing. Shivika translates this into language and shares it with you. Sometimes what comes through is startlingly specific.

4

Delivering Your Message

Communication flows both ways. We also send your animal messages — of love, of understanding, of any changes in their environment or care. Animals often respond to being genuinely heard with shifts in behaviour and demeanour.

5

Reflection & Next Steps

We close with a conversation about what emerged and any practical steps that might support your animal's wellbeing. A written summary of the session is provided.

What shifts after a session

Often moving. Always meaningful.

🐾

Behaviour Shifts

Many animals show notable changes in behaviour after being communicated with — particularly around fears, grief, or unexplained distress.

💞

Deepened Bond

Understanding what your animal is experiencing — and knowing they have been heard — transforms the quality of the relationship between you.

🕊️

Peace at the End

For animals approaching the end of life, communication sessions often bring profound peace — to the animal, and to the people who love them.

Common questions

Does my animal need to be present?
No. Remote animal communication is conducted using a clear, recent photograph of your animal. The communication is equally effective at a distance — the connection is energetic, not physical.
Is this scientific?
Animal communication operates in a dimension of experience that is not yet fully measured by conventional science — but neither are many forms of healing that millions of people find genuinely helpful. We invite you to come with openness and see what arises.
What species do you work with?
Primarily domestic companion animals — dogs, cats, horses, birds, and rabbits. Shivika has also worked with wild animals in sanctuary settings. Each communication is unique to the individual animal.
← Back to all services Energy Medicine

You are more
than your mind.
Your energy speaks too.

Restoring balance in the subtle systems that underpin your health and vitality

"The body is not a machine. It is a living field of intelligence — and intelligence can be restored."

Energy Medicine is a healing modality that works with the body's subtle energy systems — the biofield, meridians, chakras, and other organising fields that traditional medicine is only beginning to acknowledge and study. These systems influence physical health, emotional wellbeing, and vitality in ways that conventional approaches sometimes cannot reach.

Experiences of trauma, chronic stress, emotional suppression, and environmental toxicity can create disruptions in the energy field — blockages, depletions, or areas of stagnation. Energy medicine works to identify and restore these disruptions, supporting the body's innate intelligence to heal itself.

At Sabr, energy medicine is offered both as a standalone modality and as an integrative complement to psychotherapy and somatic work. It is not a replacement for medical care, but it is often a profound support alongside it.

Who it is for

  • Chronic fatigue or energy depletion
  • Physical symptoms without clear medical cause
  • Emotional stagnation or feeling "blocked"
  • Anxiety and stress stored in the body
  • Those on a spiritual growth path
  • Recovery from illness or surgery
  • Those seeking integration alongside other therapies

Session format & fees

  • Sessions: 60–75 minutes
  • Fee: ₹3,500 per session
  • In-person (Delhi / Gurugram) or remote
  • Fully clothed; gentle touch or no-touch
  • A written energetic summary provided
Book a Session →

What happens in an Energy Medicine session?

A deeply restful, whole-system experience.

1

Energy Assessment

Shivika begins by scanning and reading the energy field — assessing areas of depletion, congestion, or imbalance across the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual layers. This assessment is both intuitive and learned — developed through years of study and practice.

2

Clearing & Cleansing

Stagnant or dense energy — accumulated from stress, trauma, emotional suppression — is gently cleared from the field. Many people feel a noticeable shift during this process — warmth, tingling, or a sense of lightness.

3

Restoration & Replenishment

After clearing, depleted areas of the field are restored and supported. This phase often feels deeply nourishing — people frequently report a profound sense of being held and supported during this part of the session.

4

Integration & Grounding

We close by grounding the energy — ensuring that what has shifted is integrated safely into the whole system. A brief conversation about what arose during the session, and any recommendations for home practices, completes the work.

What transformation looks like

Subtle. Cumulative. Unmistakable.

Restored Vitality

Many clients report a significant improvement in energy levels, sleep quality, and physical wellbeing following a series of sessions.

🌊

Emotional Flow

Emotions that have been stuck — grief that couldn't be cried, anger that couldn't be expressed — often begin to move and release.

A Sense of Alignment

Clients often describe feeling "more like themselves" — clearer, lighter, and more connected to their own sense of direction and purpose.

Common questions

Do I need to believe in energy work for it to work?
Open curiosity is more helpful than firm belief — but neither belief nor disbelief is required. Energy medicine, like many forms of healing, often works through processes that the rational mind doesn't fully understand.
Can energy medicine replace my medical treatment?
No — and Shivika would never suggest it should. Energy medicine is a complementary modality that supports overall wellbeing. It works alongside medical care, not instead of it. Always continue with your medical treatment plan.
Can sessions be done remotely?
Yes. Distance energy healing is an established part of many energy medicine traditions. Sessions are conducted via video call, with the healing work happening energetically across the space.
